Hi, I'm Elika Mirzaei!
A front-end developer eager to make websites.
A front-end developer eager to make websites.
I am passionate about front-end development and currently pursuing an MA in Web Design and Content Planning at the University of Greenwich. With a background in English Translation Studies, I self-learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and aim to master both technical and design aspects of web development. Ambitious and eager to grow, I am open to new opportunities in this dynamic field.
Here is a website that I have designed for a real-life like small business, which was a project for my course.
This project focused on designing a user frierndly website for a family-run cheese shop. The project was given to me by my professor of Design For Web Content module. The task was creating a website for a small retail shop in England to boost in-person visits as part of a high street revival campaign. The site will serve as a marketing tool, not for e-commerce.
I hand-coded this website using only HTML and CSS, focusing on simplicity and precision. By avoiding templating systems, I ensured a lean, W3C-validated structure for optimal performance and accessibility. The file structure is well-organized, and every design choice from typography to colours was carefully made to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. The site is fully responsive, providing a seamless experience on any device.
During my master course I had a project to write an article on CSS Animations, which are my favourite topic in this field! Feel free to have a look.
